Last night, the Phoenix Chamber Choir performed as part of the VSO's New Music Festival. The choir performed a set of a capella music for the first half of the concert, with fabulous works from a variety of wonderful composers, including Gjeilo, Jackson, Mealor, Runestad, Dubra, and Macdonald. Then, Phoenix took the stage with the VSO under the baton of Maestro Tovey to perform Arvo Pärt's Berliner Messe. It was a glorious night, and a fantastic success! Here are some of the responses we got from Twitter about the concert!
