Hoot (Brian) Gibson has been a choral director and arranger for CBC Radio and Television variety shows including: Chorus Gentlemen, Moods Of Man, Let' Go, Up Up and Way, Kraft Show of the Week (CBC National TV), and The Gibson Six vocal (weekly radio show CBC). Hoot is the co-founder/producer of Griffiths, Gibson & Ramsay Prod. Ltd. and was the writer and producer of jingles for: Bank of Hawaii, 7up, McDonald's Restaurants, Pillsbury, Chevrolet Canada, Petro Canada, Coca Cola, TD Bank, BCTourism, A&W Restaurants (Ba-Dum, Ba - Dum), and Mazda Motors (Zoom, Zoom). His multi-image AV productions main themes include Canada Pavilion Main Theme, "This Is My Home" Expo 86 / Columbus Ohio Ameriflora Expo 1992 "I Love This Land" / '88 Calgary Winter Olympics Main theme "Come Together in Calgary" / Panama Expo 2002 "Welcome to My World."
Over the course of his career Hoot has sung with Phoenix Chamber Choir under the direction of Cortland Hultberg and Ramona Luengen, Enchor Choir under the direction of Diane Loomer and Carrie Tennant, and has done studio chorus work for movie soundtracks, including: "Platoon", "The Mission", "Air Bud/World Pup", "Air Buddies", and MVP Most Valued Primate/Company Man. Hoot is the composer of main themes for TV Animation Series including: "Being Ian, "Yvonne of the Yukon", "Pirate Express" (for which he was awarded a 2015 LEO for best score in an animation series) and has arranged "Hymn For Axciom" for Coastal Sound Youth Choir, directed by Carrie Tennant.
Hoot is presently working on the film score for the Animation Feature film, "SPRIG."
